Green energy for the health center

The first medical health center will soon open in Bekoko, the agglomeration of the port city of Douala in Cameroon.
Our health center will be a point of contact for first aid, illnesses and minor accidents and will offer consultations, prevention and educational work.

Over the past two years, KamerunGO! has worked very hard to ensure that the population in this area finally has access to basic medical care.
Together with the Swiss non-profit organization Solafrica – which is committed to promoting solar energy in economically disadvantaged regions – we now want to equip the health center with a solar system to ensure a sustainable, ecological and self-sufficient power supply.
Find out more about Solafrica at www.solafrica.ch We have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdly for this purpose.

With your donation, we can ensure a sustainable, ecological and self-sufficient power supply for the health center.

What is collected for

We need CHF 6,000 for the construction and installation of the solar system on the roof of the health center in Bekoko, Cameroon. This will enable a sustainable, ecological and self-sufficient power supply for the health center, which will open at the end of this year.
The solar system enables us to ensure the operation of the center and to bridge the regular power outages.
This is particularly important for the refrigeration of medicines.
In addition, by operating a public well, which is also powered by solar energy, we can guarantee the local population access to clean water.

What happens with your donation

100% of your donation goes towards the construction of the solar system.
This includes the costs for the material as well as the expenses incurred for the installation of the solar system.
The board of KamerunGO! works on a voluntary basis, so your donation will not be used for administrative expenses or similar. Support our crowdfunding campaign now: https://crowdly.org/kamerungo_gesundheitszentrum/
