The patient was immediately given first aid treatment to relieve the pain. Later, she was transferred to the maternity ward of the Medical Center where she was thoroughly examined by the midwife and doctor. During the examination, it was found that the baby&#8217;s head was at the vulva, so immediate delivery was required. The delivery was safely performed by the midwife, but it was a premature birth weighing 700 g. Since there was no equipped neonatal unit available, the doctor immediately referred the baby to the district hospital. While the parents waited for transportation, a makeshift heat source was set up using a baby heater (as shown in the pictures) to keep the baby warm. After waiting for more than 45 minutes, a motorcycle was brought to the hospital to transport the baby.        <\/p>\n<h3><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Makeshift warming station<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>  Water was heated to a moderate temperature and filled into plastic bottles, which were then used to line the sides of the baby carrier that would be used to transport the baby. The baby was placed in this modified carrier and transported on a motorcycle to the reference hospital.   <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4012\" src=\"https:\/\/kamerungo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG-20231006-WA0005-450x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kamerungo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG-20231006-WA0005-450x600.jpg 450w, https:\/\/kamerungo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG-20231006-WA0005.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4015\" src=\"https:\/\/kamerungo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG-20231006-WA0007-450x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kamerungo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG-20231006-WA0007-450x600.jpg 450w, https:\/\/kamerungo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG-20231006-WA0007.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/>  After leaving the hospital with the baby, the mother was also admitted to the same hospital as the baby due to retained placenta. That same night, after receiving proper care at the reference hospital, the couple decided to return to the medical center. Upon arrival, they learned that the baby had died en route because it was delayed too long on the road due to traffic congestion. It is very unfortunate that this incident had to occur. Unfortunately, all properly equipped health facilities are very far from the medical center and the medical center is not equipped to handle such cases.
