Team Hope & Life Cameroon<\/p><\/div>\n

Why did you join Hope & Life in Cameroon (HaL)?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Alphonse<\/em>:<\/strong> After my studies, I only worked in the private sector for two years.
\nBut I always wanted to work for a larger organization and when I heard about HaL and its noble vision, I jumped at the chance and applied. Virginie<\/em><\/strong>I used to work with an organization that provided healthcare to prisoners and other underprivileged people.
\nI developed a passion for this kind of work there.
\nUnfortunately, because of the crisis in the North West and South West of Cameroon, I could not continue working there.
\nWhen I heard about the HaL Medical Center and their vision to provide and improve care for people in need, I was hooked.
\nI saw it as an opportunity to further my passion.
\nSo I applied and was hired.
\nColette<\/em>:<\/strong> Because of the vision; equality of patients, improvement and sustainability of health services in Cameroon. <\/p>\n

What has changed since the Medical Center opened?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Alphonse<\/em>:<\/strong> On the infrastructure side; painting work, installation of security gates and metal railings, laying of floor tiles, improvement of the power supply.
\nOn the health services side; setting up a pregnancy consultation, carrying out ultrasound examinations, setting up a physiotherapy and sports room.
\nThe number of patients has also increased. <\/p>\n

What is your motivation to work for the Hope & Life Medical Center?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Alphonse<\/em>:<\/strong> I am motivated by the continuous appreciation I receive from the public.
\nWhether it’s patients who leave the Medical Center in a better condition or healthy people who stay healthy thanks to our health tips.
\nI am inspired by the fact that rural communities have access to healthcare that is comparable to that of urban areas. Virginie<\/em>:<\/strong> I want to advocate for my patients and their families so that they can lead healthy lives.
\nI really enjoy looking after people. Colette<\/em>:<\/strong> I like looking after sick people.
